you get on the train, take a seat two rows behind the tall slender girl you're slightly familiar with

cursing yourself you didn't have the courage to sit down right beside her

you never have

you know she takes the train every morning

and whenever you have to go downtown, you try to catch this exact one

knowing that you'll see her standing there on the platform waiting fot it to arrive

she would glance at you, give you a shy smile responding to your nod

and do the same thing you do

which is take a seat somewhere anywhere, curse yourself for being dumb and childish

and let it go
